When Is the Best Time to Come U-Pick?

Early in the day is always best. The air is cooler and your picking experience is more enjoyable. You will also be one of the first to pick the newly-ripened berries. After noon, the picking is often harder because the berries have been picked through. We open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday during the harvest season, so you can begin picking early in the day.

What is the Difference Between Northern Highbush and Southern Highbush?

In order to produce fruit, blueberry plants require a minimum number of hours at a temperature below 45 degrees F. Southern Highbush blueberry plants need only 300-500 hours, while Northern Highbush blueberry plants need at least 900 hours below 45 degrees.

Do I Need at Least Two Blueberry Plants in Order for Them to Survive?

No. However two plants of a different variety which bloom partly at the same time will produce a larger number of berries. For example, an early- and a mid-ripening plant, or a mid- and a late-ripening plant growing near each other will maximize your yield.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship Blueberry Plants to Where I Live?

Shipping charges depend on the destination zone, and are calculated automatically on our shopping cart page after you provide your destinaton state and zip code. You will have the opportunity to see the shipping charges before checking out and submitting your order. If you change your mind, you may cancel your order before submitting it.

Do You Sell Blueberry Plants Outside of the US?

No, we only ship blueberry plants in the continental US and Alaska, due to the certification required by the USDA, outside of the 49 states.

Can I Buy Plants On-Site at Your Farm, or Do I Need to Order Online?

We sell plants online and on-site by appointment from February 1 through October 31. We also sell plants on-site at the farm when we are open for u-picking during the harvest season from early or mid-July through late August.
